Why use it
- MASCC estimates risk of serious complications in febrile neutropenia and helps guide inpatient vs selected outpatient pathways.
- Score ≥21 suggests low risk; <21 suggests high risk. Clinical concern always overrides the score; follow local oncology / antimicrobial policy.
