Terms of Use

Last updated: 24 May 2026

By accessing or using BetterCall.ie or the BetterCall mobile apps, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Not medical advice

BetterCall provides educational and workflow tools for qualified healthcare professionals. Content is not a substitute for independent clinical judgment, local protocols, supervision, or emergency services. Always verify time-critical information at the bedside. See the Medical disclaimer.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be a healthcare professional (or other authorised user where we explicitly allow) using the service in a lawful manner. You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and devices. You must not impersonate others or create accounts to evade enforcement.

You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple on supported platforms. Third-party sign-in is subject to those providers' terms as well as ours.

3. Clinical and Teams modules

Where you enter patient-identifiable or special-category data, you confirm that you act under appropriate professional, contractual, and statutory authority (including GDPR Article 9 bases). You are responsible for consents, accuracy, retention, and data subject requests for that data. BetterCall may suspend features that appear to be misused or insecure.

4. AI-generated output

Outputs from AI-assisted features may be incomplete or incorrect. You must review and validate any suggestion before clinical use. Do not rely on AI output for diagnosis or prescribing without human verification.

5. Jobs and applications

Job listings and applications are provided for convenience. Employers and applicants are responsible for their own recruitment decisions and compliance with employment and equality law. BetterCall does not guarantee placement.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Violate law or third-party rights.
  • Upload malware, scrape the service in a way that impairs performance, or attempt unauthorised access.
  • Use the service to harass, discriminate, or endanger patients or colleagues.
  • Reverse engineer or circumvent security controls except where permitted by law.

7. Intellectual property

BetterCall and its licensors own the site, apps, branding, and original content. You receive a limited, revocable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. You retain rights in content you upload; you grant us a licence to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the service.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by applicable law, BetterCall and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under Irish or EU law.

9. Changes, termination, and account closure

We may modify features or these terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of terms or risk to others. You may stop using the service at any time and may request erasure of your account data through the in-app account closure flow or by contacting privacy@bettercall.ie.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence where they cannot be waived.
